Ireland's First Credit Union Welcomes Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to the Office.

On Thursday the 4th April, we were delighted to welcome our Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill Minister of Credit Unions, Senator Regina Doherty and Fine Gael candidate Ian Nunoo to our office. It was an honour to have these politicians visiting Ireland's First Credit Union.

The event was attended by David Malone (CEO) and Martin Bush (President) from the Irish League of Credit Unions, Aloft Dublin City, Donore Boxing Club, St. Teresa's Parish, 35th Dublin Scout Group, St. Paul's Senior Citizens group, staff, members and residents from the community. Thank you to our wonderful neighbours, Marlowe & Co for providing the tea, coffee and pastries for the event.

Leo Varadkar talked about the crucial contribution of credit unions in facilitating access to affordable finance for all and the significant potential in the mortgage market for Credit Unions. Thank you to Jennifer Carroll MacNeill for the work she has done in regards to the new Credit Union legislation which opens up more possibilities and collaboration for Credit Unions around Ireland.
