In 2025, the scholarship changed from one recipient receiving €1,500 to 3 scholarship recipients receiving €500 each.
In honour of our founder Aingil Ni Bhroin, this scholarship iis named after her. Aingil and her sister Eileen were the driving force behind the establishment of Ireland's First Credit Union here in the Liberties, Dublin 8. It was their courage and vision in 1958 that laid the foundation for the nationwide credit union movement.

The scholarship is open to any member currently enrolled in or entering college/university, this includes an apprenticeship, technical college, PLC or another type of academic course. The scholarship is worth €500 and is paid into the members account.

- 3 recipients will receive €500 each
- You need to be a member of Donore Credit Union Ltd. in order to apply for the Aingil Ni Bhroin Scholarship.
- The funds received by the recipient will be lodged into their credit union account.
- Applications can only be submitted by a member who is entering or already attending college or university, this also includes students entering an apprenticeship, technical college, PLC or an academic course.
- Proof of current course or course acceptance needs to be provided if chosen as a recipient.
- You need to fill in all the details in the scholarship form below to be eligible to enter.
- Please note, this is not open to employees, volunteers or their families of Donore Credit Union
