Aingil Ni Bhroin Scholarship

Aingil and her sister Eileen were the driving force behind the establishment of Ireland's First Credit Union here in the Liberties, Dublin 8. It was their courage and vision in 1958 that laid the foundation for the nationwide credit union movement.

In honour of our founder Aingil Ni Bhroin, we have established a scholarship in her name.

Applications will open in July 2024

The scholarship is open to any member currently enrolled in or entering college/university, this includes a technical college, PLC or another type of academic course. The scholarship is worth €1,500.

Terms & Conditions

• You need to be a member of Donore Credit Union Ltd. in order to apply for the Aingil Ni Bhroin Scholarship.
• The funds received by the recipient will go directly towards their tuition/course fees. Please note, that Donore Credit Union will not provide cash to the winner or cover any costs for associated academic costs (laptops, phones, text books, etc.). All funds will be paid directly to the college/educational institution.
• Applications can only be submitted by a member who is entering or already attending college or university, this also includes students entering a technical college, PLC or an academic course.
• Proof of current course or course acceptance needs to be provided if chosen as a recipient.
• You need to fill in all the details in the scholarship form below to be eligible to enter.
