Junior Savers Week 2026
Junior Savers Week takes place from Monday 5th October to Sunday 11th October 2026.
At Donore Credit Union, we believe it’s never too early to start learning about money. Junior Savers Week is a nationwide initiative from the Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU), encouraging children aged 5 to 12 to learn about saving, money and good financial habits from an early age.
It’s also a great opportunity for parents and grandparents to start conversations about money at home and help children develop positive habits that can stay with them as they grow.
Make Saving Fun
To support families during Junior Savers Week, we have a range of fun and practical resources to help children learn about money in a simple and enjoyable way.
These include:
- Savings Tracker Sheet – helping children keep track of their savings and work towards a goal.
- Junior Money Workbook – packed with activities and exercises covering saving, pocket money, needs and wants, setting savings goals, budgeting and smart shopping.
These resources are designed to make learning about money fun, practical and easy to understand.
Savings Tracker Sheet
A savings tracker is a simple way for children to see their savings grow. They can record how much they save and keep track of their progress towards a savings goal. Whether they’re saving for a new toy, a special day out or simply building up their savings, watching their progress can help make saving more rewarding.
