Greenify Launch Event – Learn More About Home Energy Upgrades & SEAI Grants

Donore Credit Union is delighted to invite members and the wider community to our upcoming Greenify Launch Event, taking place on Thursday 4th June at 6.00pm in our office at 22 Rutledge Terrace, Dublin 8.

This free event will focus on home energy improvements, sustainability, and the grants available to help make upgrades more affordable for homeowners.

Official Launch of the Greenify Loan

The evening will be the official launch of the Greenify Loan in Donore Credit Union, a nationwide initiative designed to help credit union members take meaningful climate action through affordable lending for home energy upgrades and deep retrofits.

The loan can be used for a wide range of improvements that help increase the BER rating and energy efficiency of homes, including:

• Solar panels
• Insulation
• Heat pumps
• New windows and doors
• Boilers
• Smart energy controls
• Other energy-saving upgrades

The Greenify Loan offers members an opportunity to make their homes warmer, more efficient, and cheaper to run while also reducing carbon emissions.

Guest Speakers

Therese Conway – CEO, Collaborative Finance

Therese will officially launch the Greenify Loan product and speak about how credit unions across Ireland are supporting sustainable finance and helping communities take practical climate action.

Rosie O’Neill – Greenify Carbon Calculator

Rosie will present the innovative Greenify Carbon Calculator, a tool designed to help credit unions and members measure and track the carbon savings achieved through green lending and home energy upgrades.

Gerard Doherty – SEAI Energy Grant Expert

Gerard will provide practical advice on the various SEAI grants and supports currently available for homeowners considering energy upgrades.

This will include guidance on:

• Eligibility for grants
• Insulation and heat pump supports
• Grants for windows and doors
• Deep retrofit supports
• The application process
• How homeowners can maximise available funding

This session will be particularly useful for anyone thinking about improving the comfort and energy efficiency of their home while reducing long-term energy costs.
