Donore Credit Union is taking part in the CU Challenge 2023!

7 days | 32 Counties | 100 Credit Unions

Donore Credit Union is delighted to announce that it is participating in the CU Challenge 2023, organised by the ILCU International Development Foundation.

From 10th - 16th October, staff and volunteers from the Irish credit union movement will collectively go the distance around the island of Ireland to help support the Foundation’s work. Going to the 32 counties, passing 100 Credit Unions on our route. Donore Credit Union team members will be walking, running, swimming or cycling for 7 days!

The aim of the event is raise awareness and funds for the continued development of the credit union movements in the countries where the Foundation works. The funds raised will support training and education of credit union staff and Board directors, and also members. As a financial cooperative credit unions provide much needed access to affordable and ethical savings and loans for members, empowering individuals, their families and the community.
