Aingil Ni Bhroin Scholarship

Aingil and her sister Eileen were the driving force behind the establishment of Ireland's First Credit Union here in the Liberties, Dublin 8. It was their courage and vision in 1958 that laid the foundation for the nationwide credit union movement.

In honour of our founder Aingil Ni Bhroin, we have established a scholarship in her name.

Applications Now Open!

The scholarship is open to any member currently enrolled in or entering college/university, this includes a technical college, PLC or another type of academic course. The scholarship is worth €1,500.

To enter simply fill in the application form below and tell us a little bit about yourself and why you chose to study the specific subject/programme/course.

The submission deadline of the Aingil Ni Bhroin scholarship application is at 11.59pm on 15th October, 2024.

Terms & Conditions

• You need to be a member of Donore Credit Union Ltd. in order to apply for the Aingil Ni Bhroin Scholarship.
• The funds received by the recipient will go directly towards their tuition/course fees. Please note, that Donore Credit Union will not provide cash to the winner or cover any costs for associated academic costs (laptops, phones, text books, etc.). All funds will be paid directly to the college/educational institution.
• Applications can only be submitted by a member who is entering or already attending college or university, this also includes students entering a technical college, PLC or an academic course.
• Proof of current course or course acceptance needs to be provided if chosen as a recipient.
• You need to fill in all the details in the scholarship form below to be eligible to enter.
• Applications will need to be submitted before the deadline (11.59pm on Sunday 1st September, 2024).
• Please note, this is not open to employees, volunteers or their families of Donore Credit Unio
